San Francisco Bay Bridge Expansion

In 2018, we were honored to be part of the team responsible for expanding the San Francisco Bay Bridge. The project involved reinforcing and upgrading sections of the bridge to accommodate increased traffic and ensure long-term structural integrity. Given the bridge’s age and significance as a major transportation route, we focused on preserving its historical structure while incorporating modern engineering techniques for durability and safety. Estonia – Tartu University Research Facility (Completed 2017)

In 2019, we completed the design and structural engineering for the Tartu University Research Facility in Estonia. This state-of-the-art facility, which houses labs and classrooms, was designed with a focus on sustainability and innovation. Our team employed advanced structural analysis to accommodate the facility’s specific needs, including heavy equipment loads and expansive open spaces for collaboration. New York City Mixed-Use Skyscraper

In 2019, Richard McNally Systems Inc. completed the structural design for a 45-story mixed-use skyscraper in the heart of New York City. This high-profile project combined luxury residential units, office spaces, and retail establishments. The challenge was to integrate the building seamlessly into the dense urban environment while adhering to strict zoning laws and maintaining architectural integrity. Canada – Vancouver Museum Expansion (Completed 2025)

In 2025, Richard McNally Systems Inc. completed the structural engineering for the Vancouver Museum expansion. This project added a new wing to accommodate additional exhibit space and visitor services while preserving the integrity of the original building.

We focused on seismic safety by reinforcing the foundation and retrofitting the existing structure to meet Vancouver's building codes. The design also incorporated energy-efficient systems, optimizing natural light and sustainability. The expansion successfully blended modern engineering with the museum's historical architecture, enhancing the visitor experience and supporting cultural preservation.

Australia – Sydney Coastal Resort

Richard McNally Systems Inc. is currently working on the design and structural engineering for a luxury coastal resort located on the stunning eastern coastline of Sydney, Australia. This ambitious project involves the construction of a series of high-end villas, a five-star hotel, and recreational facilities, all with breathtaking views of the ocean. Given the coastal location, the project poses unique engineering challenges, primarily due to the corrosive effects of saltwater, high winds, and the need to design for resilience in a coastal environment.

Our team is employing advanced materials resistant to saltwater corrosion, ensuring long-term durability while maintaining the aesthetic appeal of the resort. Additionally, special attention is being given to structural designs that will withstand extreme wind conditions and potential flooding from storm surges. We are integrating energy-efficient systems, including solar power solutions, rainwater harvesting, and low-energy building materials, aligning with sustainability goals and reducing the environmental footprint of the development.
